Formed in May 1993 by a small but enthusiastic group of players under the leadership of Musical Director, David Watson, to promote the enjoyment of music by brass bands not only for players but also for the public at large, Phoenix Brass has steadily grown in popularity and size and there is a great demand for it’s services.

Phoenix Brass Band provides facilities for brass band players to participate in musical activities of many types, musical interest and entertainment for members of the public and encourage the appreciation of and participation in music as a whole.   It also provides educational and training facilities for persons of all ages to learn to play a brass instrument as members of a group and to assist other organisations, charitable and community, in achieving their goals whenever possible, by making use of the Band's abilities.

Based at the village of Froxfield, on the Berkshire/Wiltshire border, Phoenix Brass does not have any direct sponsorship, or any regular financial input from any local authority or organisation, but is completely self financing.   It meets twice each week (engagements permitting) at the Froxfield War Memorial Hall on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7:30pm. Beginners and Junior players have practice & lessons on Saturday mornings from 10am.

Throughout, the history of Phoenix Brass has been documented in visual format and we make no apologies that this is reflected at this web site.
